History
• 1933: The Europe Dinghy was first created in Florida where it was called a Moth.
• 1938: It was imported to France and designated the Moth Europa.
• 1962: It became a one-design class with the final design originating from Alois Roland in Belgium.
• 1963: International Europe Class Union (IECU) created.
• 1988: The Europe was designated the women's singlehanded Olympic class.
