Secretary Ron Runyan

Ron has been a member of WSC since his parents joined the club and bought Lido 14 hull #3547 some 35 years ago. His first sailing experience was stuffed into the Lido with four other kids and a nervous Dad. The family Sunfish provided his first chance at the helm, and the WSC junior program taught him how to capsize like a real sailor. After many years as an on-again off-again racer, he has become more active since marrying his go-getter wife Nicole. He still races #3547 and has placed as well as first in the Silver Flight at Lido Nationals. Ron values the wealth of friends, excitement, and education the club has provided over the years, and looks forward to giving something back this year as Secretary. He holds an MBA from Vanderbilt University, so he should at least be able to take meeting minutes.
